Some very good points there John. I am constantly amazed at how bad Read Me files are. Why don't they all start with a brief description of what the program does?
Your main point is whether we should compile a database about all programs. This would take an incredible amount of time and probably wouldn't help much with crashes anyway. I do test every program on the CD except for a few specialized ones that require extra software or hardware that I do not have. Anything that crashes my Mac DOES NOT go on the CD. However, it is inevitable that some programs will clash with your setup. I'm afraid that's shareware.
